DOVER — La Baguette will not only be the newest bakery and catering business at 323 S. Governors Ave., in Dover, it will be the culmination of a long-held dream for chef Ludovic “Ludo” Bezy and his wife Anita. Located at the newly renovated former Frankfurt Bakery, it will have a definite French flair.
Mr. Bezy served as chef de cuisine at Michele’s Restaurant at Dover Downs since 2010. He graduated culinary school at Lycee St-Exupery in Champagne, France in 1986. After three years of training, he worked in the Champagne region, French Riviera, and in the Alps close to Albertville.
An activist for better healthy living, the couple created Chefs Fight for Your Heart in 2011, an annual learning, tasting and fundraising event for the American Heart Association.
“Change your eating habits, be happy. It is very important to educate kids at a young age to open their mind about nutrition and how much fun it is to play with food,” said Mr. Bezy.
The menu will include baguettes and other breads, French pastries, cupcakes, muffins, sandwiches, salads, soups, lunches and dinners to go.
