Dover Target undergoes ‘full renovation’

DOVER — The Target store on 148 John Hunn Brown Road in Dover is one of the retail chain’s 300 stores selected in 2018 to undergo a full renovation as part of a large national campaign.

“Target has increased our investment to re-imagine more than 1,000 stores by the end of 2020,” said Target spokeswoman Jacqueline DeBuse. “We’re enhancing the guest experience with the next generation of store design. In addition to the 110 stores remodeled in 2017, Target plans to fully renovate more than 300 stores in 2018. The re-imagined stores will be Target’s most ambitious store redesign to date, featuring modernized design elements and bringing more technology and digital experiences to our stores to give guests an experience that’s easy and inspiring.”

Ms. DeBuse noted that the work underway at the Dover target will likely be completed in late fall.

Some elements of the remodel will include:

•Enhanced merchandise presentations and updated décor throughout the store to provide guests with inspirational statements, including modern fixtures, mannequins and specialty lighting

•A specialty beauty environment that inspires and invites guests to shop, including new fixtures, enhanced lighting and layout

•Updated order pickup and guest service counter, ensuring an easier and faster experience for guests picking up online orders

•Remodeled food and beverage department featuring new wood-grain fixtures, updated floor, LED lighting, and products merchandised together to make a meal

•Modern design elements, including updated LED lighting, new paint, new floors and fixtures

•New Starbucks added to store
