DOVER — A HomeGoods store is slated to open next month on 1380 N. DuPont Highway in Dover, according to the discount home furnishing chain.

“We anticipate that the new HomeGoods in Dover will be open in late September,” said Hannah Bramhall, a spokeswoman with HomeGoods.

The chain will likely announce a grand opening date in the coming weeks, noted Ms. Bramhall.

Formerly an H. H. Gregg — an appliance retailer — the retail space in the shopping center across the road from Dover Mall has undergone fairly significant facade renovations in the past few weeks.

The new store will be HomeGoods’ fourth location in the state, according to their website. The chain already has two in New Castle County and one in Lewes.

For “competitive reasons,” HomeGoods didn’t disclose the square-footage of the new location or the number of employees they planned to hire. But, according to Glassdoor — an anonymous employer review platform — HomeGoods stores pay sales associates around $9 per hour, assistant managers about $50,000 per year and store managers about $72,000 per year.
