Kirkland’s ready to decorate Dover

DOVER — The opening of a new Kirkland’s home décor store in the North Dover Center in front of Dover Downs gives the business a presence in all three counties in Delaware.

“At Kirkland’s, we bring together great style and great value, and want to surprise and delight our customers with unexpected finds and creative inspiration throughout the store,” said Michelle Graul, Kirkland’s vice president of stores. “We look forward to becoming part of the Dover community and want to help everyone find their next home decor treasure.”

The Dover store, which held its’ “soft” opening last Tuesday, is the fourth Kirkland’s in the state, joining stores in Rehoboth Beach, Newark and Wilmington.

Kirkland’s, located at 1033 N. DuPont Highway, will celebrate its grand opening celebration in Dover on Saturday.

The first 25 shoppers in line at 9 a.m. when the store opens that day will receive an exclusive gift bag and the store will hold three furniture raffles throughout the event, giving away: a metal mesh cloche at noon, a round natural grid wall mirror at 3 p.m. and a pair of rustic elm wood bar stools at 6 p.m.

Guests can also sign up for K Club, Kirkland’s rewards program, to earn points for each purchase and get $10 off for every 300 points they accrue.

The store, which covers more than 7,500-square-feet, offers home décor accents including pillows, lighting, art and wall decor, furniture, gifts and more.

Kirkland’s is based in Brentwood, Tennessee, and was founded in 1966 by Carl Kirkland. The company has more than 400 stores in 36 states.

Kirkland’s said it features “a wide selection of unique indoor and outdoor furniture, rugs, mirrors, lighting, wall art, home and garden accessories, seasonal items and gifts, Kirkland’s allows customers to create inspiring living spaces at affordable prices.”

Kirkland’s is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
