The annual Bridal Event at Maple Dale Country Club in Dover is scheduled for Sunday at noon.

This event is produced by local, full-time bridal industry service professionals including Authentic Entertainment LLC, CM Baker Photography, Dream Vacations, Dover Tents & Events, Maple Dale Country Club, the Perfect Wedding Guide, Primerica Financial Services and The Wedding Boutique. The Delaware State News is the media sponsor of the event.

Highlighting the day will be an appearance from celebrity chef Dana Herbert of Desserts by Dana, who will be showcasing their customized wedding cakes, cupcake towers and dessert displays.

Mr. Herbert, of Bear, won the first season of TLC’s “Cake Boss: Next Great Baker” back in 2011 — which awarded him a new car, $50,000 and an apprenticeship at Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey.

He has been featured on Food Network, TLC, The Cooking Channel and “The Rachael Ray Show” and has created cakes for some of the world’s biggest names such as Oprah Winfrey, Ice Cube and Jill Biden.

To add to the fun, he will be hosting a cake decorating contest for some lucky brides to participate.

The Bridal Event will also welcome doverflorist.net, who will be designing bouquets to compliment the wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses in the fashion show. They will also be designing centerpieces and other floral arrangements to be featured throughout Maple Dale Country Club. Their designs will be a mix of flowers.

New to Maple Dale Country Club is an outdoor pavilion and seating area, unveiled last month, which is designed to get your wedding in the fresh air.

On your way to the pavilion, stop in the Shasta Shutterbug to get your photo taken in the mobile unit prior to the reception.

The day will also include a variety of games for the bride and her bridal party, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a fashion show, wedding-themed vendor displays, door prizes, music and a pumpkin-spiced sangria mixed just for the event.

A grand door prize of a weekend getaway to Williamsburg, Virginia is being offered for the wedding couple.

Admission to the Bridal Event is $10 per person. Advance registration is available at www.perfectweddingguide.com under “Events.”

As a banjo player and vocalist, he is steeped in the traditions of musicians such as Eddie Peabody, and Louis Armstrong while simultaneously looking forward to contemporaries like Jim Kweskin, Bob Dylan, and Pokey LaFarge.

His sound is broad and inclusive, combining elements of New Orleans and Tin Pan Alley jazz, as well as Grand Ole Opry-era country, and Jug Band songs of the 1910s, and 20s.

The free show will take place at the library at 35 E. Loockerman St.
