Bridal Event at Maple Dale set for Sunday

DOVER — The ninth annual Bridal Event at Maple Dale Country Club is scheduled for Sunday at noon.

This year they are welcoming back a popular list of event sponsors plus a new business, Petals & Treasures. They will be designing bouquets to compliment the wedding gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses in the fashion show, plus the centerpieces and other floral arrangements to be featured throughout Maple Dale Country Club for the event.

The fashion show is presented by The Wedding Boutique. They recently moved to a larger location on Loockerman Street in downtown Dover. The show will feature the newest trends and more traditional styles of dresses for the bride and her bridal party including the Mother of the Bride and the flower girl.

The Bridal Event will have celebrity Chef Dana Herbert of Dessert by Dana returning to the event.

Chef Dana has been featured on The Food Network, TLC, The Cooking Channel and Rachael Ray.

His business specializes in wedding cakes, cupcake towers, and dessert displays for your wedding.

In addition to admiring the flowers and tasting the decadent desserts, there will be a variety of games for the bride and her bridal party to enjoy, plus heavy hors d’oeuvres, wedding-themed vendor displays, door prizes, music and a signature cocktail mixed just for the event.

There will also be two grand door prizes offered for the wedding couple this year: a weekend getaway to Williamsburg, Virginia and a two-night stay at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites.

This event is produced by local, full-time bridal industry service professionals including Authentic Entertainment LLC, CM Baker Photography, Desserts by Dana, Dream Vacations, Dover Tents & Events, Maple Dale Country Club, Petals & Treasures, Primerica Financial Services and The Wedding Boutique. The Delaware State News is the media sponsor of the event.

Admission to the Bridal Event is $10 per person. Vendor space is still available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
