Christian artist TobyMac to play Delaware State Fair

HARRINGTON — The Delaware State Fair and 88.7 & 92.5 The Bridge announced Monday that Grammy-winning Christian hip-hop artist TobyMac is slated to perform with Love & the Outcome on Tuesday, July 28 in the M&T Bank Grandstand.

It is the first show announced for the fair, scheduled for July 23 to Aug. 1, 2020.

TobyMac, winner of seven Grammy awards, will perform at the Delaware State Fair July 28.

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon at Prices will range between $20 and $60 (plus service fee). Fans can upgrade to a VIP package for $150. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30.

First known for being a member of the Christian vocal trio DC Talk, staying with them from 1987 until they went on hiatus in 2000, he has since released seven solo studio albums, six of which have gone gold.

He has won seven Grammy awards, an American Music award, twice named Artist of the Year at the Dove awards, BMI Songwriter of the Year and has numerous other accolades to his credit.

He has charted 20 solo singles on Billboard’s Christian Songs list. He became the third Christian artist to have a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart with “Eye on It” in 2012.

He recently postponed a dozen November tour dates in the aftermath of his 21-year-old son’s unexpected October death.

Truett Foster McKeehan was an aspiring rapper and collaborated with his father on a number of tracks.
