Impressionist Caliendo to perform at Dover Downs Jan. 18

DOVER – Frank Caliendo, whose impressions of sports figures, politicians and other celebrities have made him a household name across America, will perform at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s Rollins Center on Friday, Jan. 18 at 9 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday at noon and can be purchased online at Ticket prices range from $30-$50.

Mr. Caliendo, a Chicago native, has been described as “a combination of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey” by the Hollywood Reporter. His high-energy stage show is sure to include some of his famous impressions, including Donald Trump, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, John Madden and Charles Barkley.

His national breakthrough came as a cast member on the television sketch comedy series “Mad TV” (2001-06). Later, he starred in his own series “Frank TV” (2007-08). Football fans also saw Mr. Caliendo’s impressions and NFL predictions each Sunday for 10 seasons (2003-12) as a guest on the “Fox NFL Sunday” pregame show. He has also made frequent appearances on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” program and hosted comedy specials on TBS and Comedy Central. Special Caliendo segments appear on many ESPN shows, including “SportsCenter,” and his impression lineup has expanded to include current and former ESPN personalities such as Jon Gruden, Chris Berman, Mike Ditka, Mel Kiper Jr. and Ron Jaworski.
