Travis Scott, Post Malone to headline Firefly Music Festival

Firefly Music Festival headliner Post Malone performs in 2016 at Electric Brixton in London. He will perform on the final night of Firefly, Sunday, June 23.

DOVER — Recent Grammy Award nominees Travis Scott and Post Malone along with rock band Panic! At The Disco will headline next year’s Firefly Music Festival, officials announced late Monday afternoon.

Firefly returns to The Woodlands for the eighth year June 21-23. It will be three days next year instead of four as it had been for the previous five years.

The lineup also features Kygo, Tyler, the Creator, Vampire Weekend, DJ Snake, ZEDD, Death Cab for Cutie, Brockhampton, Courtney Barnett, TLC, Lykke Li, Bishop Briggs, Lauren Daigle, Alison Wonderland, King Princess, Jessie Reyez, and Tank and the Bangas.

General admission, VIP, Super VIP and Super Duper VIP pass options go on sale Friday at noon through FireflyFestival.com.

General Admission passes start at $279. Camping, glamping and hotel packages will also be available for purchase.

The new Super Duper VIP, at a cost of $7,199, includes Super VIP passes for two, lodging at Dover Downs Hotel for three nights for two people, 24-hour concierge services, dedicated golf cart, breakfast buffet for two and more.

Acts such as Death Cab for Cutie, Vampire Weekend and ZEDD are returnees to Firefly.

Ms. Daigle, a Christian contemporary singer, just played the Delaware State Fair earlier this year.

Although times have not been announced yet, Panic! At The Disco will perform Friday, June 21, rapper Mr. Scott will take the stage Saturday, June 22 and rapper Mr. Malone will wrap things up Sunday, June 23.

“We are thrilled to be able to share this Firefly lineup, filled with fan favorites as well as incredible up and coming talent,” said Alicia Karlin, Firefly Music Festival talent buyer in a press release.

“In addition to all the music, we’re launching some new initiatives that will surprise longtime fans as well as those joining us for the first time. We want fans to leave the festival with a newfound excitement around the Firefly experience.”

Monday, Firefly also announced the launch of the S.P.A.R.K. Program (Start Participating And Receive Karma). S.P.A.R.K. was developed to help Firefly fans connect before, during and after the festival through a variety of online and in-person interactions.

The S.P.A.R.K. Program includes meetups, volunteering opportunities, team sports and other group activities offered at no cost to fans. S.P.A.R.K. programs also include ways to become personally involved in the festival, through fan directed campaigns like the Firefly Fund (nominate and vote on which charitable causes to support) or the Poster Design Contest (submit your own design to be considered for the official 2019 Firefly Music Festival poster).

Additional S.P.A.R.K. programs will be announced over the coming months.

Camping at Firefly will be available via The Great Atlantic Campout, a new immersive camping experience. Fans can choose between North and South camping, with each location offering access to the venue, a vehicle pass and special activities and entertainment.

Spread throughout North and South camping at The Great Atlantic Campout, fans will find camping hubs and ranger stations. Camping hubs in North and South will each feature different amenities but include activities like daily yoga, panels, speakers and meet and greets, silent discos, intramural sports, Spruce Up stations and permanent showers as well as a farmer’s market, general store, Bloody Mary bar and shuttles between North and South camping.

Ranger stations will act as a community resource where festival-goers will be able to access information, find support, and engage in other activities throughout the weekend.

AEG Presents, already a majority holder in Firefly, acquired the remaining ownership shares of the festival this summer.

As part of the acquisition of shares formerly held by Red Frog Events, a Chicago-based event company, AEG Presents also took over the promotion and production of the festival.

AEG Presents is the concert promoter behind events such as Coachella and Stagecoach in Southern California, Panorama Festival in New York City and 8,000 concerts a year.
