Wynonna to perform in Harrington Oct. 26

HARRINGTON — Country music’s Wynonna, along with her band The Big Noise, will perform at Harrington Raceway and Casino’s Exhibit Hall on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. as part of the Live On Stage series lineup.

Wynonna first rose to fame in the 1980s alongside her mother Naomi as the mother/daughter country duo, The Judds. Several hit albums would follow with an acclaimed 14 No. 1 hits.

The Judds would eventually end their career in 1991, due to mother’s battle with Hepatitis C. She continued to launch her own solo career with singles such as “She Is His Only Need,” “I Saw the Light” and “No One Else On Earth” all reaching No. 1 on the country music charts.

She has received over 60 industry awards, with charting singles, including 20 No. 1 hits such as “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Why Not Me,” and “Grandpa, (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Ole Days).”

In 2016, Wynonna and her band The Big Noise, led by her husband/drummer/producer, Cactus Moser, released their debut self-titled album. Wynonna has described the new sound as “vintage yet modern” and a “return to the well.”
