DOVER — The 17th annual 55+ Expo, to be held April 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Rollins Center of Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, will feature a Caregiver’s Center for Solutions and Support.

This section will house vendors that can provide information on how to manage stress and solve common problems that caregivers face.

Delaware’s largest and fastest-growing population is the 55+ community. More and more often, younger family members and loved ones are tasked with providing daily assistance to the older generations. According to the Family Caregiver Alliance, 48 percent of caregivers in the United States are between the ages of 18 and 49.

Resources such as the Caregiver’s Center for Solutions and Support are intended to provide guidance for those in need when confronting the issues associated with these tasks.

Businesses and agencies that specialize in areas such as home safety, insurance and medical attention will be on site at the 55+ Expo to offer information related to services that can assist in providing care for individuals looking for extra help.

Attendees are not required to be 55 or older, and caregivers are encouraged to attend. The Expo, which attracted more than 4,500 people last year, is the largest of its kind in Delaware. For more information, visit www.cdcc.net/55plus/ or call 734-7513.
