3 people sought after emaciated dog is found

DOVER — Three persons were sought after an emaciated Pit Bull Terrier was located last week at an abandoned residence on Lakewood Place, authorities said in a Facebook post late Tuesday night.

Christina Dillinger

The Dover Police Animal Control Unit asked for public assistance in locating Christina Dillinger, Joseph Dillinger Jr., and Tyriq James. The female dog was located on April 2 and the three persons of interest have not been located.

Police were initially called to the residence and located the dog who had been left behind for an unknown amount of time. The trio was identified by the homeowner as previously renting the residence.

An Animal Control officer took the dog from the home and took it to a facility for treatment by a veterinarian.

Animal Control obtained arrest warrants for animal cruelty (two counts), failure to inoculate for rabies and failure to license a dog in Delaware.
