Capital City Rotary, DelTech fly flags for heroes

DOVER — More than 400 flags fill the U.S. 13-Scarborough Road corner of Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus in Dover this week as part of the third annual Flags for Heroes program.

It is sponsored by the college and Dover Capital City Rotary Club. Shown at the dedication were Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen, Dover Capital City members John Kotzun, Sandy Hogan and Marion Klein, June Turansky, VP and Terry Campus director, and Rotarians Lee Thompson and Dick Harper in the first group photo.

In the second group, representatives of the Dover Capital City Rotary Club and Delaware Technical Community College gather behind Mayor Christiansen, Dr. Turansky and Mr. Thompson, Rotary club president, at the Tuesday, May 24, dedication.

The flags, sponsored in honor of military, police and other emergency responders, will be on display through June 1.
