City of Harrington featured in new book

There’s a new buzz around the “Hub of Delaware.”

Doug Poore’s first book, “Harrington (Images of America),” featuring his hometown can be purchased online starting today. The author is a lifelong resident of Harrington and is now also the curator of the Harrington Museum. He wrote the book in conjunction with the Greater Harrington Historical Society.

As an active member of the community since joining the Harrington Fire Company at 16-years-old, Mr. Poore’s book takes readers on a unique trip down memory lane through pictures.

“Harrington (Images of America)” can be purchased on for around $20. Limited copies will also be available at the museum and upcoming events held to celebrate the town’s 150th anniversary.
