Construction lane closures to be suspended for Memorial Day weekend

DOVER — In an effort to help try to ease Memorial Day weekend traffic, the Delaware Department of Transportation will be suspending planned construction-related lane closures from Thursday until May 31.

Ongoing sustained lane shifts and/or lane closures may still be in effect in certain areas. DelDOT reminds travelers to exercise caution as heavy holiday traffic is expected. Emergency lane closures may occur at any time on interstate and state routes.

The suspension of the planned construction-related lane closures will take place from 12:01 a.m. on Thursday and will last until 12:01 a.m. on May 31.
