Delaware Teacher of the Year: Virginia Forcucci of Sussex Tech

Hundreds attended the annual Delaware Teacher of the Year banquet Tuesday at Dover Downs Hotel, where Virginia Forcucci was named the state’s top educator. Ms. Forcucci teaches English at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown. She now will represent Delaware in the National Teacher of the Year program. As the First State’s winner, she will receive a $5,000 grant to use in her classroom and two personal grants of $5,000 total, as well as a variety of other gifts and smaller grants.
