Harrington Parks & Recreations announces upcoming programs

PROGRAM REGISTRATIONS: Registrations can be mailed or dropped off at HPR during our regular business hours, Mondays through Thursdays 8AM-4PM and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon. You may also use the drop box to register any evening HPR is open from 5:30-7 p.m. Or you can go to our web page at www.HPRnews.com and print out registration forms.


Learn a lifetime sport ~ Tennis! We are now accepting registrations for our tennis program. This program is offered for children from 7 to 13 years old.  Classes will be held at the Lake Forest High School Tennis Courts on Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning the end May 30th for four weeks. The cost is $55 per person. If you need to order a racket there is an additional $15 charge. Registration deadline is May 17th. A $10 late fee will be applied after the deadline.

Heritage Day

All meetings will be held the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at HPR.

Harrington Heritage Day is Saturday, Aug. 24. Vendor registrations will be accepted after January 2, 2019.  Spaces are open to craft and food vendors, and information booths. Space is extremely limited and early registration is strongly suggested. Start making plans now to attend Heritage Day and see the many exhibitors and vendors that we have lined up! Harrington Parks and Recreation welcomes all new ideas in an effort to make this event better. Please contact our office.

Group Training/Adult Fitness

Small Group Training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by merging group fitness with personal training. Sessions combine flexibility and strength conditioning with guidance from a fitness professional. Program will be held at HPR on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Yoga at HPR! 

Sessions are held on Saturdays 9:00AM. Bring a towel, water bottle and a yoga mat.

Evening YOGA! Classes will be Thursdays from 6:45-7:45PM.

Adult Fitness

Treadmills, nautilus, elliptical, stair steppers and exercise bikes are available for use. Adults will be able to use the center Monday through Thursday from 8am-4pm, Fridays 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Registration form and provide valid ID are required. $50.00 per individual or $75.00 a couple.

Help the First State Animal Center and SPCA

You can drop off any of the items you wish to donate for pets in the collection box at the Recreation Center.
