Harrington Parks & Recreations prepares for fall activities, Heritage Day

Program registration information for the Harrington Parks & Recreation Department: Registrations can be mailed or dropped off at HPR during our regular business hours, Mondays through Thursdays 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon.  You may also use the drop box to register any evening HPR is open from 5:30-7 p.m.. Or you can go to our web page at www.hprnews.com and print out registration forms.

Fall Soccer

Registrations for FALL SOCCER will run through August 16th.  We offer TOT soccer, (ages 2 & 3), through the U12 age division.  You can stop by the office during regular business hours to register or go online, print your registration form and mail it in with payment.  Cost:  $65.  Call HPR for any questions.  Register early to avoid being put on a wait list.

Heritage Day

Harrington Heritage Day is Saturday, Aug. 24.  Spaces are open to craft and food vendors, and information booths.   Space is extremely limited and early registration is strongly suggested.  Start making plans now to attend Heritage Day and see the many exhibitors and vendors that we have lined up!  Harrington Parks and Recreation welcomes all new ideas in an effort to make this event better. Group Training/Adult Fitness

Small Group Training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by merging group fitness with personal training. Sessions combine flexibility and strength conditioning with guidance from a fitness professional.  Program will be held at HPR on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.   The next session began Aug. 6.

Yoga

Yoga at HPR!  Bring a towel, water bottle and a yoga mat. Evening YOGA!  Classes will be Mondays from 6-7 p.m.

Adult Fitness

Treadmills, nautilus, elliptical, stair steppers and exercise bikes are available for use. Adults will be able to use the center Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Registration form and provide valid ID are required. $60.00 per individual or $75.00 a couple.

Help the First State Animal Center and SPCA at HPR

You can drop off any of the items you wish to donate for pets in the collection box at the Recreation Center.
