Honoring Presidents’ Day

In honor of George Washington’s birthday and Presidents’ Day, the program “George Washington as Spymaster” was held Sunday afternoon at the Old State House in Dover. History buffs portrayed members of the New York Culper Spy Ring and told their story, including what caused them to join the spy ring, how they operated, some of their fears and close calls and some of their greatest contributions. Above, from left, are Abraham Woodhull (portrayed by Larry Josefowski), Caleb Brewster (Tom Pulmano), Benjamin Tallmadge (Tom Summers), and George Washington (Tom Welch).
