KSI donates to Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk

KSI CEO B. Craig Crouch (far left) and KSI Vice President Jayson Crouch (far right) were proud to present a donation from KSI’s Buddy Walk to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk organizers, Sharonlee and Dennis Diehl. Special to The Chronicle.

KSI partnered with the Boardwalk Buddy Walk organizers, Sharonlee and Dennis Diehl, for several years. Their organization raises funds which are distributed to local non-profit agencies supporting individuals with disabilities.

KSI was proud to donate $1,100 to the Boardwalk Buddy Walk organization. These are funds that were raised by KSI through bake sales and other creative means of earning money for the “walk”. The actual Boardwalk Buddy Walk takes place in Rehoboth during a weekend usually in October. KSI organizes its own “Walk” during a weekday so our program participants can participate. Lots of enthusiasm surrounds the walk at KSI as each case manager claims a theme song, and decorates accordingly. We walk to the theme songs from each group, while walking the inside perimeter of the KSI Skill Development Center.

KSI is a not for profit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment, and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that its programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. If you would like to make a donation to KSI, donations can be mailed to KSI, attn: Alicia Hollis, 301 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford, DE 19963, or you can donate online by going to www.ksiinc.org and clicking on the donate button.
