No New Year’s Day trash collection for city of Dover

DOVER — There will be no trash or curbside recycling collection by the city of Dover on the New Year’s holiday on Monday.

Trash and recycling collection that would normally be made on Monday will be on Tuesday, along with the normal Tuesday collection.

City officials are asking residents scheduled for the Monday collection to have their containers set out on Tuesday by 7 a.m.

Trash and recycling collection not completed on Tuesday will continue until it is completed. Residents are asked to leave their containers out for collection.
