Police: Woman in SUV fatally struck man after argument

DOVER — A 32-year-old woman was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide after an alleged Friday night argument that left a man dead, authorities said.

Simone Fassett was driving an SUV that struck Antron Raisin, 35, who later died from injuries while being treated at a local hospital, police said.
Another man suffered non-life threatening injuries, treated and released.

Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. said the incident at approximateny 9:02 a.m. stemmed from an argument with both two men and Ms. Fassett’s boyfriend Andre Singletary.

Authorities said Mr. Singletary threatened a man with a large knife.
Police said Ms. Fassett drove away from the scene at East Water Street east of New Castle Avenue in a 2009 Nissan Murano.

Detectives found the vehicle Saturday at a relative’s residence in Rock Hall, Maryland, according to authorities.

Ms. Fassett and Mr. Singletary were both arrested without incident, police said.

A second-degree assault charge was also entered against Ms. Fassett. She was held at Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle in default of $20,000 secured bond.

Mr. Singletary was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, first-degree reckless endangering and possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited.

He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown after failing to post a $35,000 secured bond.
