Kent County Levy Court Commissioner Jody Sweeney was the first to sign the ceremonial beam during the Kent County Recreation Center and Boys and Girls Club topping off ceremony along New Burton Road. Commissioner Sweeney was one of the key figures who was instrumental in the project.

Construction on the Kent County Recreation Center and Boys and Girls Club should be completed by late March-early April 2016.
