Suspect sought in Bridgeville shooting death

BRIDGEVILLE — A 45-year-old Bridgeville man was found shot to death late Wednesday morning, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

The homicide victim was found in the driver’s seat of a blue Honda Civic parked in a lightly wooded area just off the road, police said.
Troopers arrived to a shots fired call in the 11000 block of Evans Drive at approximately 11:22 a.m.

The man, alone in the vehicle, was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford and then turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, Cpl. Jaffe said.

Police did not release the man’s name publicly pending notification of next of kin.

No suspect information was immediately available. Police said further information would be released when available as the Homicide Unit continued to investigate.

Police asked anyone with information to call Detective J. King at 741-2821. Information can also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or online at
