Sussex County partnering in drive for deployed military personnel and K9s

GEORGETOWN – Sussex County government is lending a helping hand to help bring holiday joy to U.S. military personnel abroad.

The county joining forces with Sussex County Volunteer Delaware 50+ and State Office of Volunteerism in collecting donated items for deployed servicemen and servicewomen serving during the holidays.

A donation box for Stockings for Soldiers is located in the County Administrative Offices building. It includes a shopping list for deployed men and women, as well as K9 soldiers.

Donations to the county’s box will be accepted up to Nov. 12.

The public along with county employees are encouraged to join in and give back to the men and women, and canines who serve America.
