Commentary: Will Democrats push country to socialism?

As we get full swing into the 2020 election campaigns, every Democrat-committed candidate has endorsed policies that will eliminate our democratic republic. Forget our Constitution, the Democrats, with their definition of equality and inclusion for all, believe our country is better off by destroying our current form of government.

A lot has been written and published in this newspaper about the differences many of us have with the concept or even definition of socialism. a number of writers are pleased with what they believe are the socialistic programs currently enacted in this country. All of these programs are incredibly mismanaged or on the verge of insolvency.

The Social Security trust fund is currently projected to pay 75% of your estimated earned annuity in less than seven years. Medicaid was never designed to cover the enormous number of people currently enrolled, and because of its enormous cost, Medicare has never been included in the federal budget. Believing cost would never be a factor, Congress enacted many of these programs for political reasons (votes). Cost is finally beginning to rear its ugly head.

The Democrats are pushing the concept of a national popular vote which would force electoral representatives to vote based on the national popular vote regardless of how their states vote. Our representatives in Dover have passed, and the governor has signed, a bill negating the vote of many Delawareans.

Our forefathers never intended a national popular vote, but one that gave every state, including small ones, a voice in the election. Hence the Electoral College. The national popular vote subverts the Constitution and negates the vote of millions of Americans. Previously, all of our votes counted, but now? What we are witnessing is the incredible danger of one party ruling a state for decades.

The Democrats, and their current candidates for 2020, have also embraced the Green New Deal. It’s amazing how a freshman congresswoman can take over the role of chief spokesperson for the Democrats in less than 60 days. Then we have her two freshman cronies. One who can get away with saying anything she wants, while the other is nothing more than a puppet of Linda Sarsour, the alleged champion of women’s rights who believes in Sharia law.

Most legal codes are based on public behavior; however, Sharia law while based on public behavior is also based on private behavior and private beliefs. Sharia law is the most intrusive and restrictive of the worlds legal systems, especially against woman, and favors corporal and capital punishment over incarceration.

Examples against woman include: A woman or girl who has been raped cannot testify in court against her rapist(s). Testimonies of four male witnesses are required to prove rape of a female. A woman or girl who alleges rape without producing 4 male witnesses is guilty of adultery. A woman or girl found guilty of adultery is punishable by death. The women identified above are a danger to our society, but the two Midwestern representatives and Ms. Sarsour are a seed for a malignant growth that could silently destroy this country.

Why does Bernie have such notoriety? An analysis of his base indicates that they are younger people who have been taught by our educational system that America is a bad county. It’s amazing what you can accomplish out in the open and under the noses of the American public. Forget about the concept of upward mobility. If we give everyone medical care, provide free tuition (for some!!), guarantee a wage and job, and even give people free monthly stipends, our country will be so much fairer for all.

Our country was founded and built on hard work by all. We all have differing abilities and interests, and all can work to contribute something. That said, we also have a history of taking care of our own. Those who are truly unable to work should be provided for.

What scares me more than the Democrats’ flow to socialism is the news media’s unabashed support for the Democrats. Their journalistic responsibility of reporting the news is gone. Because of their pure hatred of our president, they air the false narrative of the Democrats who still can’t get over the fact that the “anointed” one lost. It has gotten so bad that the news media will support anything to see him beaten in 2020.

The Democratic Party bosses are now so concerned about the radical move to the left that they are pushing Uncle Joe to run. Currently, he’s on an apology tour for being a white male over 50. If you can’t be proud of who you are, and what you’ve stood for all of your adult life, how in God’s name will you run the country? It was his leadership that dragged Anita Hill through hell.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. Instead, my voting card states, “unaffiliated.” I vote on the issues and the individual, not the party. Congress has totally abdicated its constitutional responsibility by plunging this country into a mud-slinging identity politics war for which I see no end. While I blame both sides, I see the Democrats as entrenched in regaining power, regardless of the cost to this great nation of ours.

The Dems cried for a FBI report concerning Judge Cavanaugh, and said, “Wait until you see the results of the Mueller report.” In both instances, they didn’t get what they wanted and so cried foul. The American public is getting damn tired of listening to the false narratives pushed by the Democrats.

A final thought. Have you ever seen anyone flee capitalism to seek a better future in a socialist state? How many Americans have fled to Venezuela? No person or party should rule anyone; our country is, always has been, and should remain about individual choices — not a government dictating what is best for us and then forcing us into it.
