LETTER OF DOVER: City of Dover shines

Last weekend, with the owner away, a young house- and dog sitter accidentally, on Sunday, backed into and knocked down a light pole in our neighborhood.

Immediately after notification by the state police, the city of Dover picked up the felled pole, disconnected the power, and placed a safety cone.

By 9:30, yes 9:30 a.m., the very next day a new pole was up and in place.

Thank you, city of Dover for an amazing response, encouraging in this era of seemingly distrust of everybody, and especially those in government management and leadership.
