Letter to the Editor: Congressional discord endangers America

It should be quite interesting to observe the congressional leadership in 2019.

The new Democratic House Majority, led by California’s Nancy Pelosi, if she is elected to be the majority leader and Speaker of the House may initiate many troubling accusations targeted at The Oval Office.

Speaker of the House is two heartbeats away from the presidency. The power escalations will prove to result in time-consuming fruitless, stressful efforts in futility. The Democratic return to key leadership roles chaired by individuals whose primary mission is to erect all barricades to any positive actions presented and endorsed by President Trump.

Their power moves are venomous attacks on American progress and security. The Democratic leadership is solely focused on delaying and/or denying any presidential plans for America’s beneficial, prosperous future.

Their designated targets appear to be centered on impeachment (California Rep. Maxine Watters’ favorite) of which there is no political credibility to explore and/or confirm; Health-care expansion and free education for all. Although these enticing concepts are intriguing to those who believe these guileful goals may come to fruition, they must remember that “If it seems too good to be true it probably is.”

No such thing as a “free” lunch. The advocators of these ideal plans has yet to state “how” all of this will be paid. To date, there has not been any feasible response to this query by any of these program saviors. Don’t hold your breath!

“The Wall” is the most serious problem area that demands immediate attention by all elected officials. The Wall is designated to protect America from illegal immigration and foreign actors of evil. The hordes of immigrants illegally scrambling daily to enter The United States of America must not be allowed entrance until properly vetted at legal ports of entry. Ms. Pelosi has deemed the building of this American protection would constitute an “immoral act.”

In 2006, Sens. Schumer, Obama and Hillary Clinton were among the bipartisan majority who voted approval of the “Secure Fence Act of 2006” which called for the construction of 700 feet of fencing with enhanced surveillance technology i.e., unmanned drones, ground-based sensors, satellites, radar coverage and cameras. This bill was signed into law by President George W. Bush. The Democrats must have short-term memory loss.

These current astute political leaders should contact German Chancellor Angela Merkel whose divisive decision in 2015 to keep German borders open to refugees fleeing from war in the Middle East has brought difficult, dangerous times and events throughout her country.

This “moral” decision may have been a determining factor to resign her leadership position in the CDU (Christian Democrats). She remains German Chancellor. We are now suffering this same quandary by the “Open Borders” advocates who do not comprehend that illegal immigration is a severe danger to American security. What is “moral” about that fact? We must stay the course President Trump has dedicatedly pursued and established within America to ensure the fulfillment of our successful future.

After “self-reflection”, America will assuredly determine that 2019 was, indeed, a year of American turmoil and wrath.

May God always bless the United States of America.
