Letter to the Editor: Dining dilemma

Although its is a fast-growing town and we are frustrated by the lack of “fine dinning.,” larger chain restaurants have a population formula which determines where they locate and apparently Millsboro doesn’t have the numbers needed for the larger dining operations. (“Millsboro munchies,” Sound Off, Nov. 17)

I inquired about a large restaurant franchise several years back, and was stunned by the population numbers in my rejection letter.

Just consider yourself lucky you can grab a “quick bite” for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Laurel has one fast food chain and that’s not even a McDonald’s.
