LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Hiding behind the truths of abortion

Apparently, my letter of July 3 (“Truth at odds when it comes to abortion”) about the truth of abortion hit a few nerves. However, you still insist on believing your own truth concerning the abortion of living beings in the wombs of their mothers and not the real truth.

I can only think of another verse from the gospel of Matthew Chapter 7 in which Jesus teaches the following “You will be able to tell them by their fruits.” Can people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? In the same way, a sound tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree bad fruit. A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a rotten tree bear good fruit. Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire. I repeat, you will be able to tell them by their fruits.”

Dr. Bernard Nathanson, one of the founders of the National Association for the Repeal of the Abortion Laws (NARAL) was a notorious abortionist proclaiming that he aborted well over 9,000 babies, including some of his own children. After realizing the error of his ways and coming into the church, testified regarding the abortion industries practices that a strategy of theirs was “Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was really only around 200-250 annually.

“However, the figure we constantly fed to the media was 10,000. These false figures took root in the consciousness of Americans convincing many that we needed to crack the abortion law. Another myth we fed to the public through the media was that legalizing abortion would mean that the abortions only taking place illegally would then be done legally. In fact, of course, abortion is now being used as a primary method of birth control in the U.S. and the annual number of abortions has increased by 1,500 percent since legalization.” (http://www.life.org.nz/abortion/aboutabortion/historyglobal13)

The late Norma McCorvey, Jane Roe of Roe V. Wade which created a woman’s right to abortion, admits and testified numerous times before the court and in public and in both of her books “I am Roe” and “Won By Love” that not only did she lie about being gang raped on which the Roe decision was based, but she also testified that Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee, the lawyers who took her case to the Supreme Court, also lied in their testimony to the court about Norma’s lie of being gang raped.

In the companion case heard on the same day, Doe v. Bolton which allowed women to abort for any reason throughout the entire term of pregnancy, Sandra Cano aka Mary Doe has also testified many times in public and before the court that her case was based on a fraudulent and blatant lie.

The abortion providers have on numerous occasions been caught in lies and deceitful practices which harmed young and unsuspecting women and have many times proven very damaging or even fatal for these women.

For instance, you may remember the case of Kermit Gosnell, an American abortion provider practicing in Philadelphia, who was convicted of murdering three infants who were born alive during attempted abortion procedures. Gosnell owned and operated the Women’s Medical Society clinic in Philadelphia.

So, for you to tell me, Mr. Donnelly, (“Not all religious are pro-life,” Letter to the Editor, July 9) that your church council by a majority vote made being “pro-choice” the policy of your church makes me wonder if any of you believe in and read or study the Gospels because “by their fruits you shall know them.”

You can hide behind your own version of the truth for your entire life, but at some point, you will have to face the real truth, Jesus our Christ. Until then, you will be in my daily prayers and may God bless you with a revelation.
