Letter to the Editor: No rights

I, for one, am so tired of hearing about the rights of illegals and prisoners.

What part of “illegal” don’t our leaders understand? If you are not here in this country legally, you have no rights, other than moral ones that would require us to respectfully ask you to leave and come back when you decide to enter the right way.

As for prisoners, you gave up your rights (excluding Miranda Rights) when you chose to break the law.

If the votes can’t come from legal citizens, who are not incarcerated at the time of the election, then maybe we need to take a longer, deeper look at the candidates suggesting this action. This is getting ridiculous now. Here’s a point to ponder; maybe if we had nipped illegal immigration in the bud years ago, this topic wouldn’t be brought to the table. Second, once a prisoner has paid his debt to society, then his/her right to vote would be reinstated.
