Letter to the Editor: Securing elections a must

I read Gov. Carney’s commentary in the paper (“Remove barriers to voting,” Jan. 8) and I pretty much agree with everything. Registering should not be a difficult task.

What concerned me was him not mentioning anything about securing our elections. How about some voter ID at the polls? And severe penalties for those who abuse the system?

I like to know that the people voting are actually the people who are supposed to be voting.
