Speak Out: Eating their own?

A recent commentary discussed an episode when former Vice President Joe Biden drew the ire of liberal activists when he asserted that current Vice President Mike Pence is “a decent guy” during an event in Omaha, Nebraska. Writer Day Gardner says “civility is officially dead within the Democratic Party.”

• Biden was the best chance the Democrats had. To bad they keep eating their own and showing the nation what they are all about. — Bob Hice

• This is the way of the new Democratic Party. Hate, hypocrisy and hysteria. If they don’t get their way, they throw a tantrum. — Tim Shepperson

• I’m still hopeful that Biden will win the nomination and run for president because he will be very easy for President Trump to beat. C’mon Joe, I’m rooting for you. — Tim Shepperson

• Liberal civility died (if it ever existed) when Maxine Waters called for the public harassment of administration officials — Bruce Anderson

• Officially dead? When the hell was civility ever alive -— in either party? At least not since Fox News went on air decades ago. — Jim Kelley

• Democrats are good at devouring their own. I love it! — Mark Schmalhofer
