Millville Volunteer Fire Co. hosts Outdoorsman Marketplace Saturday

MILLVILLE — The Millville Volunteer Fire Company, on Del. 26 (35554 Atlantic Ave.), is hosting its inaugural Outdoorsman Marketplace from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, presented by the Voice Radio Network’s The Vault Classic Rock 103.5 &102.9.

The event benefits the Millville Volunteer Fire Company to help raise money for a new fire hall.

Vendors in the outdoorsman arenas include hunting, fishing, boating, RV’s, cooking, photography and much more. There are a few craft vendors in the “nautical” arenas. All vendors/businesses have quality inventory to purchase.

Sponsors: Millville Volunteer Fire Company, G & E Hockers Superstore and Hardware, Tow Boat US Indian River, Bob’s Marine, East Coast Campers and More, Delaware Surf Fishing, Al Casapulla’s Sub, Steaks and Pizza, Coastal Point Newspaper, Atlantic Tactical Firearms, WBOC, Schell Brothers, and Holts Wines and Spirits.

Entry fee will be $3. Children 14 and under are free and will receive a door prize ticket. Paying attendees will receive a door prize ticket. You do not have to be present to win any of the door prizes or raffle items. There will also be a Chinese auction, a 50/50, and a gun raffle.

Atlantic Tactical Firearms Trainers are bringing their firearms simulator. They are charging $5 for 5 minutes and donating that to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company. There are different modes and games, including balloon animals and zombies, and life fire situations for training.

Breakfast and lunch prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary, sponsored by Al Casapulla’s and Hockers. Beer will also be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. sponsored by Holts Wine and Spirits. Raffle and door prize items are donated from vendors and sponsors, as well as several businesses in the beach town community.

Guns will be raffled with a deck of cards per gun, 54 cards in the deck (jokers included), $20 per card. Some guns will be $10 per card. Guns are donated by G & E Hardware and have to be picked up from there the day after the event (Sunday the 13th) for a period of time. There will be no cash equivalent.

Participants must be sure they can pass a background check prior to participating in the raffle. Chances are nontransferable. All monies raised will benefit the Millville Volunteer Fire Company.
