Altercation brings multiple charges in Milford

MILFORD – A 30-year-old Magnolia man was charged with multiple offenses following an alleged altercation at a Silver Lake Estates apartment Sunday, Milford Police said.

According to authorities, investigation determined that Michael S. Scott reportedly punched an exterior window of the apartment on Linstone Lane, causing the glass to break. He also allegedly made comments that he would return with a firearm and harm others, spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said.

Mr. Scott allegedly fled the scene prior to officers arriving, police said. He was located at a local hospital where he went seeking treatment from injuries, authorities said. Mr. Scott was taken into custody without incident after treatment, police said.

Charges included criminal contempt of a domestic violence protective order involved the use or threatened use of a deadly weapon, terroristic threatening, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. Mr. Scott was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover, where secured bail was set at $3,000.
