Arrest made after alleged residential burglaries

DOVER — A 25-year-old man was arrested after a series of alleged residential burglaries in the Dover East Estates Mobile Home Park, Dover Police said Tuesday.

Jason Sammons was developed as a suspect after detectives pursued leads indicating he was allegedly involved in a series of burglaries between April and July, authorities said. Mr. Sammons was arrested Sunday by Camden Police on an unlrelated shoplifting charge and then learned that he was wanted by Dover Police.

Charges included eight counts each of second-degree burglary and theft under $1,500 and six counts of criminal mischief. Mr. Sammons was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in default of $26,000 secured bond.
