Attempted burglary reported in Dover

DOVER — An attempted burglary at the Check-n-Go at 283 N. DuPont Highway took place Monday at approximately 1:44 a.m., Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

According to authorities, officers responded to the business in reference to an attempted burglary caall. Officers learned that two suspects described as two tall and thin males who were wearing all black broke the front door and crawled inside. Once inside the business, the suspects attempted to open a safe but were unsuccessful before fleeing in the direction of White Oak Condos, police said.
