Dagsboro: Arrests made in burglary, theft investigations

DAGSBORO – Town of Dagsboro police have made two arrests in the investigation of burglary and theft incidents that occurred in February and March.

On March 2 officers were dispatched to the Wangs Kitchen within the corporate limits of Dagsboro for a report of a burglary in progress, according to Dagsboro Police Chief Floyd Toomey.

Police investigation revealed that an individual reached across the counter and took possession of the cash register and tip jar. The perpetrator fled when an employee approached and yelled at him from the kitchen.

The employee was not injured in this incident.

Through investigative measures suspects were developed and identified. Further investigation resulted in officers linking this crime to another unsolved burglary which occurred on Feb. 1, 2017, Chief Toomey said.

On March 12, 2019, Rontrell M Leonard was arrested and charged with: Burglary 3rd; Possession of Burglary Tools; Conspiracy 2nd; Theft under $1,500; and Criminal Mischief under $1,000.

On March 13, 2019, Alonzo D Sutton-Bullock was extradited from Maryland turned over to Dagsboro police and then arrested and charged with two counts each of the following; Burglary 3rd; Possession of Burglary Tools; Conspiracy 2nd; Theft under $1,500 and Criminal Mischief under $1,000.

Both defendants were released on bond.
