Death investigation underway in Dover

DOVER – A death investigation began at approximately 7:26 a.m. Tuesday after an unresponsive person was reported in the 300 block of Kitts Hummock Road, the Delaware State Police said.

Authorities said arriving troopers found a man laying on the ground. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.

The body was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the manner and cause of death.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin, police said.

Police said the investigation continued and more information would be released when available.
