DOC seeks Middletown man who flees

David Succarote

WILMINGTON — A 30-year-old Middletown man was sought after fleeing over a fence from the Plummer Community Corrections Center Tuesday, the Delaware Department of Correction said.

David Succarote’s whereabouts were unknown and unauthorized, the DOC said, and a warrant for escape after conviction was issued. Mr. Succarote was described as a 5-foot-8, 170-pound white male with green eyes and brown hair, with tattoos on his left and right arms and chest. His original offense was second-degree robbery.

DOC spokeswoman Jamie Young asked anyone with information to call (800) 542-9524 or their local police department.

Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
