Dover drug investigation results in two arrests

DOVER — Two arrests were made in the conclusion of a drug investigation in the 900 block of Simon Circle Wednesday morning, Dover Police said.

Maurice Butler, 26, and Mary Honey, 18, were taken into custody without incident at 6:02 a.m. by the Dover Police Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit in conjunction with the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit following a SORT team executed warrant, spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Officers located 47.7 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, cash (drug proceeds), and a shotgun in the home during the search, police said.

Mr. Butler was also wanted by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit on separate charges, police said.

Charges include possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, drug paraphernalia and second-degree conspiracy. No bond information was immediately available.
