Dover man shot while standing in driveway

DOVER — A 49-year-old man was shot in his upper torso and left lying in his driveway on Rose Valley School Road in Dover on Friday night, according to the Delaware State Police.

The incident occurred Friday at around 11:39 p.m. when troopers were called to a home in the 1300 block of Rose Valley School Road for a report of a shooting.

Troopers found the man laying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

An investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) drove past the residence and fired multiple shots in the direction of the victim and his wife, who were standing in the driveway in front of the house.

The victim was removed from the scene and taken by EMS to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

His wife was not injured during the incident.

Police said no suspect information could be provided and the incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit.
