Dover PD announces promotions, assignments

DOVER — On Tuesday, Dover Police Chief Marvin Mailey announced promotions and assignments of staff officers that became effective the day before:

Tim Stump has been promoted from the rank of captain to the rank of major and will serve as the deputy chief.

Capt. David Spicer

Capt. David Spicer will remain the Operation’s Division commander.

Chad Bernat has been promoted to the rank of captain and will serve as the Administrative Unit commander, leaving his current position as the Criminal Investigations Unit Commander.

Lt. Todd Case has been assigned as the Criminal Investigations Unit commander, leaving his current assignment as the Patrol Unit Commander.

David Boney has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant and will serve as the Patrol Unit commander.

Lt. Christopher Hermance will continue to serve as the Special Enforcement Unit commander.

Lt. Kevin Kober will continue to serve in his current capacity as the Internal Affairs Commander.
