Dover traffic stop brings drug arrests

DOVER — Two men were arrested on drug charges following a Friday night traffic top at the intersection of South New and Division streets, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Devon Cannon, 29, and Russell Burton, 28, were in a vehicle that was flagged by a computer for “Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle at approximately 7:46 p.m., authorities said. A vehicle search located 252 bags of heroin, according to police.

Both men were released on own recognizance bonds for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Cannon was also charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, police said.
