Dover woman, 25, found dead in apartment

DOVER – Delaware State Police Homicide Unit detectives are conducting a death investigation after a 25-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment on Monday morning.

Authorities said at approximately 9:15 a.m. after troopers were told to respond to the Alder Park Apartments, located at 51 Webbs Lane, after a woman was discovered in the rear of an apartment with obvious injuries to her upper torso.

The woman, whose name is being withheld pending the notification of her next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by Kent County Paramedics. Her body was turned over to the Division of Forensic Sciences where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of death.

Police said the investigation was in its early stages and more information will be released when available.
