Drug arrest made at the Dover Inn

DOVER — A 40-year-old man was arrested on drug charges at the Dover Inn Wednesday morning, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

City police assisted Delaware Probation and Parole with an administrative search of Norman Singleton’s room at approximately 10:45 a.m., authorities said. Officers allegedly located 5.3 grams of crack cocaine packaged in 23 baggies for sale, police said.

Charges included possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child and violation of probation. Mr. Singleton was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown in default of $6,500 secured bond and $10,000 cash bond.
