Drug dealing arrest in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE — A 28-year-old Bridgeville man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly seen conducting drug transactions in the area, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

A two-month investigation led to charges against Jevontae L. Dale, authorities said. Police determined that Mr. Dale was allegedly selling narcotics from his vehicle, a black 2010 Nissan Altima, while it was parked along Meadowlark Drive. As a result, a search warrant was obtained for Mr. Dale and his vehicle.

Mr. Dale was seen walking away from his vehicle in the area of Church and North streets and taken into custody without incident, police said.

The search warrant was then executed on his vehicle and the following items were seized:

•Approximately 64.91 grams of crack cocaine

•Approximately 34.6 grams of powder cocaine

•Approximately 168 bags of heroin

•Approximately 4.2 grams of marijuana

•Eleven 20mg Oxycodone pills

•Loaded Taurus .22 caliber revolver

•Ruger P85 9mm handgun (loaded and reported stolen)

•Over $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds

•Numerous rounds of ammunition

•Drug paraphernalia

Multiple possession and intent to deliver controlled substance charges were filed, along with possession of a weapon by a person prohibited and a stolen firearm. Mr. Dale was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $126,502 cash only bond.
