Fight and flight: Ocean View police charge Selbyville man

OCEAN VIEW – Ocean View police on July 27 arrested 32-year-old Joshua W. Long of Selbyville in their response to a fight in the parking lot of the Millville Town Center.

Upon arrival at the scene just after midnight, officers observed Long and another subject fighting, Ocean View Police Chief Ken McLaughlin said.

Long refused verbal commands to stop fighting and fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, Long was apprehended. Officers from South Bethany and Bethany Beach assisted Ocean View police.

Officers charged Long with one count each of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Long was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $750 secured bail, Chief McLaughlin said.
