Roosevelt Williams

MILFORD — A 19-year-old Milford man was arrested on a drug charge during a proactive foot patrol late Tuesday night, Milford Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said.

At approximately 11:16 p.m. officers contacted Roosevelt Williams on Allen Way in Brightway Commons after he was allegedly observed attempting to conceal himself from being seen, police said. Officers noticed a smell of marijuana and further investigation led to 41 grams of marijuana being seized, along with United States currency, police said.

Mr. Williams was taken into custody and has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. Mr. Williams was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover, where unsecured bail was set at $5,000.
