Frankford man sought after thefts from vehicles

FRANKFORD — A 22-year-old Selbyville man was arrested after numerous alleged thefts from vehicles in the area, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said Thursday.

Cody G. Burroughs was wanted on charges of identity theft, three counts of theft under $1,500, unlawful use of payment card, six counts of third-degree criminal trespass, attempt to commit theft under $1,500 were a victim is 62 years or older, two counts of attempt to commit theft under $1,500 (deprive person) and criminal mischief under $1,000 property damage.

Police said multiple incidents were reported in the Hidden Acres and Hickory Woods neighborhoods.

Mr. Burroughs turned himself in at Troop 4 in Georgetown, police said. He was processed and then arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $10,105 secured bond.
